Will Google ads ever be the same? How AI search trends may change the way you attract clients forever.
The best keynote speech I’ve heard in years, and it scared half the audience to death.
Last week, I was at Parker seminars in Las Vegas. One of the most impactful speeches I’ve heard in a long time was delivered.
As I sat down next to one of the thousands of chiropractic doctors in the audience, I asked the person next to me if he had ever heard Gary Vee speak before, or followed him on social media. He said no.
I said OK, there’s two things: number one, you’re gonna really enjoy this presentation. And number two, get ready for some F bombs!
And Gary did not disappoint, confirmed by the chiropractor who was sitting next to me.
For those who don’t know, Gary Vaynerchuk started his career helping his father sell wine at his shop in New York City. At 14, he joined his family’s retail wine business, Shopper’s Discount Liquors in New Jersey. He created a web channel, Wine Library TV, to sell wine for his family’s store, which helped him gain a following and build his brand. In the early days of the internet, he tried some very daring things, including the concept of Google ad words. He also did videos about which wine you should like, and which ones you should not.
It was not an overnight success, but over the years he became extraordinarily successful. He helped his father‘s business grow substantially, and they sold the company. He later turned his attention to creating a media company, which now deals with significant media brands, professional athletes, and the like.

Google Ads
The most impactful part of the presentation was when he asked everybody in the room to stand up if they’re using Google Ads to help get new patients into their clinics. Nearly 2/3 of the audience stood up.
Then he asked everyone another question, how many of you use either ChatGPT, Perplexity, or another AI tool for searches? Probably, ⅓ of the room raised their hand.
And then he connected the dots…. Folks, Google is not going to become the search engine of the future.
If you are not looking at how you’re going to do things differently, you will become irrelevant, even with Google Ads.
That was the first mic drop.
Hey Siri (or Alexa)
The second key thing that he said is how in the future the people will be finding information that is closest to the customer, think Siri and Alexa.
How are Siri and Alexa going to be able to find you if you don’t have searchable content?
According to Gary Vee, those who produce consistent and valuable content, will be the ones who are searchable in the future.
We’re not talking weekly, monthly, quarterly. We’re talking about daily content.
He said, “I bet a lot of you are frustrated when your patients don’t do their rehab exercises between appointments. Don’t you agree?” There was collective laughter.
As he remarked about his “bleeping tennis elbow”, he said, “You know, I’m one of those guys. I hate to do my exercises between my therapy sessions.
But here’s the difference, he explained, “when I don’t do my therapy sessions, I just have a little bit of pain, and I can get by. But as a business owner, when you don’t create valuable content, you lose business!”
Mic drop number two.
Trends are changing and what got you here, won’t get you there.
Today, Gary Vee is the CEO of VaynerMedia, a digital agency, a venture capital investor, and co-founder of several companies, including VaynerSports, VCR Group, VaynerWatt, Resy, and Empathy Wines.
