This past week, I was invited to a BookThinkers event, where authors convened in Columbus, Ohio to share their wisdom and best practices on their success. CEO Nicholas Hutchison and his team hosted a meet and greet on Wednesday night and a full-day of top-notch speakers on Thursday.

• When you are in a state of flow, opportunity comes your way
• Put your strategic roadmap in a place so that you see it every day

• Know your niche, everyone is NOT your best potential client

• If you are sending out swag; make sure it’s worth it; otherwise you are wasting your money

US Naval Academy and 9/11 Remembrance

As I finish writing this article, I am in Annapolis, Maryland for Parent’s Day Weekend for Junior (Second Class) Parents. At the US Naval Academy, this is only the 2nd time in four years, that parents are allowed to enter Bancroft Hall (pictured below with the 10th Company). Bancroft is the largest college dorm in the US, all 4,400 Midshipmen eat and sleep here. We were able to eat with them in King’s Hall.

All juniors recently signed the “2 and 7”. Which means, they have two more years of the US Naval Academy and a minimum of 5 Years commitment as an officer. We had the opportunity to meet his classmates; this is a special group of young men and women.

All of them have committed to lead our nation as military officers in the US Navy or Marines, to protect us from harm’s way.

As we approach another 9/11 remembrance, I am grateful for those who are willing to sacrifice for our freedom. May we never forget.
